Chapter 17: Finding Evidence.

1. In supporting claims for academic arguments, writers use all kinds of evidence.

2. Data from journal articles, scholarly books, records from archives,personal observations, fieldwork, surveys are evidence resource.

3. The need for evidence depends a lot on the rhetorical situation.

4. Determine how current your resources are.

5. Don't rely on simple web searches only.

Chapter 18: Evaluating sources

1.The effectiveness of an argument often depends on the quality of the sources that support or prove it.

2.Look for reliable sources

3. Be as knowledgeable as you can be with the information.

4.You don't want to be naive in your use of any source material.

5.Credentials of the publisher determines how useful the source might be for your essay.
